Our little village festival will be held on 24. June and we are very much looking forward to it! There is a full day of activities for all ages planned and will soon be announced.
Here at Rauða Húsið, here’s what’s going on: at 13:30 we will be serving up traditional meat soup outside, free for all who bring their own bowl or cup. You can also buy a bowl from the 10th year students, who use the money as a fundraiser for their school trip. We will have a coffee shop open in the basement from 13:00-16:00 and our chefs will be grilling hamburgers outside if weather allows, otherwise serving from the kitchen, from 13:00-15:00. In the evening, starting at 20:30, there’s a bonfire on the beach with live music and a party (bring your own beverages), and at 23:00 the annual Midsummer’s Eve Party upstairs at Rauða Húsið. We have live music and drink specials until the small hours. If you’re in Eyrarbakki on this date, it’s not to be missed!
