The Christmas season is a time for friends and loved ones to come together and enjoy good food and drink in good company.
The Christmas Buffet is an Icelandic tradition that is for many a highlight of the lead-up to Christmas day. At Rauða Húsið we serve up delightful food, wine and holiday cocktails in a cozy setting decorated for the holidays. The 2023 Christmas buffet will be held on Fridays and Saturdays from 24. November-16. December.
We offer up holiday favorites such as herring, salmon, reindeer, smoked lamb, Christmas ham, turkey, and a variety of side dishes and sauces. And of course a wide selection of delicious desserts, including creme brûlée, merengue, French chocolate cake, hand-made chocolate truffles and more. We also offer choices for vegan, keto and other lifestyles. The price is just 12.490 kr per person with a welcome drink included.
After the meal, life music keeps the festive atmosphere going.
We accept bookings for individuals, families and groups of all sizes. Groups of 80-150 guests have a private dining hall.
