Rauða Húsið restuarant is a fine dining restaurant on Iceland’s south coast
We are best known for our melt-in-your mouth langoustine (locally-caught lobster) and fresh seafood, but we also proudly serve Icelandic lamb and horse tenderloin, along with excellent vegetarian dishes. But of course we also have a selection of decadent desserts, cocktails and local beers and a hand-picked wine list.
Rauða Húsið is one of the largest restaurants in South Iceland, with seating for up to 230 in four halls on three floors. We can provide full sit-down meals from one to four courses, or coffee, drinks, and refreshments for your conference, wedding, party, or other event.
Just 10 minutes from Selfoss and Highway 1, 45 minutes from downtown Reykjavík, and 45 minutes from the Blue Lagoon. In the wintertime, it’s a perfect spot for sighting the northern lights!
